Cuyahoga River Mosaic at the Peninsula Library

I have long admired the mural on the front of the Peninsula Library & Historical Society in Peninsula, Ohio. It was designed by the artist Honore Guilbeau, and dedicated on September 20, 1964. According to the library's website, "its shapes, lines and colors reference the geographical pattern of the Peninsula part of the Cuyahoga River Valley as it appears on old maps and in aerial photographs." I think the picture below is of Honore herself, supervising the installation. Isn't she amazing looking? I wish I could find out more about her. The National Museum of Women in the Arts has a database of women artists which lists her as a ceramicist, painter, printmaker, sculptor, and teacher. It also says she was born February 11, 1907 and died May 22, 2006, but doesn't give any more information about her life or work.
